Hi, I'm William Wagnon. I've been involved in photography for over 35 years now. I started with a very old camera given to me and then purchased my first auto-focus camera from a Pawn Shop, a Minolta 7000. Those were the "film" days and I was blessed to have some friends over the years that could teach me about composition and what makes an interesting photo. I've decided to put the past 3-4 years of photos on my first webpage for photography.
I've been honored for some of my works in contests in the Fair, Sacramento Bee, and a few other awards. I was the featured photographer at the fair one year with a wall of only my photos. I have had my photography on the brochure of the Botanical Gardens in Ft. Bragg, CA. I have a photograph of Yosemite in the State Archives of California along with a few other photographers, one being Ansel Adams.
I am very active in the Woodland Camera Forum in Woodland, CA. Having been president 3 times and program director for several years. I try to keep my skills and eyes open to new techniques and visions. I would encourage anyone interested in photography to seek out a local camera/photography club and participate in their field-trips and meetings where guest speakers present their works and give instructions on how to create a piece of art with your photographs. You'll create friendships and have wonderful photographic experiences.
My day-job is being a Doctor of Chiropractic. I've practiced in Woodland since 1984. I also had a practice in Paradise, CA working for another doctor for two years when I came out of college prior to locating to Woodland which was closer to where I grew up (Sacramento). My wife, Linda, and I have 4 children and 11 grandchildren as of 2014.
Life is grand and the world is beautiful. Go out and see for yourself...and oh, take your camera along and let me see what you see! I'd truly love to see your photos. I hope you enjoy mine.
